The Glen Avon is a small family run hotel nestled in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland. It is situated overlooking the village square of delightful Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands. Offering a choice of standard or en-suite rooms with bed & breakfast facilities, all of which are double glazed with central heating, sky television and tea & coffee making facilities. Pets are welcome at no extra charge - please advise when booking. Enjoy a meal in our restaurant, a glass of Scotland's finest whisky or a traditional real ale in the warm and friendly atmosphere of our lounge bar. Either sit by the bar and exchange stories with some of the local characters, play pool or relax quietly by the log fire. Alternatively, plan your next days excursion in the comfort and privacy of our guests lounge. Closely located to the Hotel you can discover distilleries, golf courses, endless walking and mountain biking paths in and around the mountains & Lecht ski centre located only 6 miles away. We offer a diverse menu of hearty home cooked food. We use fresh local produce wherever possible and offer an interesting selection of home-made vegetarian meals as well.
